Description
This is a heavy-duty, braked, tandem axle trailer that is designed to carry serious loads! It is rated up to 3,500kg and can carry a 2,980kg payload (as long you have a vehicle and towbar rated to towing a 3,500kg load – generally a large powerful SUV/Ute or small truck). This is the maximum sized load that can be carried on a trailer behind a vehicle in New Zealand.
The trailer deck is 3200mm long and 1800mm wide enabling you to carry loads that are not only longer but also wider. The trailer can be used for a wide range of purposes including transporting small tractors, ATV’s and UTV’s as well as long lengths of timber etc.
It comes with (or without – the choice is yours) a full crate (3200mmL x 180mmW x 1500mmH) for transporting large loads of rubbish or firewood.
The trailer can also be used for transporting stock and has an embedded sliding door in the rear of the crate to make loading and transporting stock easy. The rear part of the crate can also be moved to the half-way point to tighten up the stock to prevent them from falling. You are also welcome to borrow our homemade stock loading ramp to assist with loading stock onto the trailer (see photos).
The trailer tows and backs beautifully and has a European Knott 4-wheel over-ride braking system. This braking system gives an incredibly smooth and powerful braking performance, with no reliance on the trailer plug connection to operate the brakes and no need for in-cab brake controllers.
